Imi Peeler Road 25

Today’s installment is taken from a conversation between a 4 year-old boy and his aunt, in the run-up to Christmas, as they looked at statues of the Virgin Mary and Jesus in the nativity scene in her living room.

“So his last name is Christ?  And when is he coming?”

  1. We pulled into the Taco Bell. My son, 3 or 4 years old at the time, mused, “Taco Bell. That’s a funny name.” After a moment’s silence, he looked at me with a twinkle in his eye and asked, “French Fry Bell?” By the way, he didn’t eat much of the taco. He was definitely more interested in the French fries.

  2. Hahahaha! Charming! Your son’s comment is an excellent example of children’s curiosity about and creativity with language, Heidi.
